National Strategy to End Child Marriages and Teenage Pregnancy

In June 2015, the Government of Uganda (GoU) developed the first National Strategy to End Child Marriages and Teenage Pregnancy (NSCM&TP 2014/2015 – 2019/2020). The strategy envisioned creating a society free of Child Marriage and Teenage Pregnancy (CM&TP) through strengthening child protection mechanisms and enforcement of relevant legislation including social and cultural norm change.
