Uganda Children’s Legislative Agenda

In 1990, Uganda ratified the Convention on Child Rights (CRC) and the Africa Charter on the Rights and Welfare of the Child (ACRWC) in 1992, which both obligate the government to ensure that all children enjoy their full rights. Uganda has also domesticated most of its international and regional child rights commitments through the enactment of various laws relating to the rights of children, including the recently amended Children’s Act (2016).
